Val Smith was formerly a journalist, and is now a freelance writer and PR.
“I love the variety of my work,” Val says, “I write features about people, places and events for various publications, including The Scots Magazine, of course!
“My husband and I have spent the last year renovating a holiday cottage in Moulin in Highland Perthshire. My time there has made me fall in love with Scotland and its people all over again. There’s nowhere as stunning as Scotland on a sunny day and nothing as entertaining as the banter in a good pub with a roaring fire on the cold, rainy ones!”
