Calling all cheese lovers – this family run dairy and café in Ardersier, ten miles from Inverness, is a truckle of Highland heaven.
Their Pantry is positively groaning under the weight of hand-crafted, fully-organic cheeses on offer, including their award-winning Connage Crowdie and Highland Heart, their heart-shaped Brie.
The good news is that you can try before you buy with cheese sampling always available with an amazing selection of locally made chutneys and oatcakes. You might even be lucky enough to see Helen and her team making the cheese through the Pantry’s large viewing window.
After that, if you’ve still not reached cheese saturation point you can head to the café for coffee and one of their famed cheese platters. If you need to step away from the curd then there’s also an amazing range of cream cakes on offer.
