ScotHot 2017 Prepares To Cook Up A Storm

On March 15 and 16, ScotHot, Scotland’s leading trade event for the food, drink, hospitality and tourism industries, will return to Glasgow’s SECC.

 

ScotHot 2017 is expected to attract over 8,000 delegates from the food, drink, hospitality and tourism industries.

The event, which is is one of five Scottish Tourism Week Signature events, brings together suppliers of food and drink; catering equipment; décor and design; tableware and technology products with chefs and buyers from hotels, restaurants, bars, catering outlets and tourism destinations.

 

‘A platform for chefs to showcase their skills’

 

“The industry’s appetite for ScotHot continues to grow,” said Toby Wand, Managing Director of Fresh Montgomery, organisers of the event.

“ScotHot is a place where businesses can trade and head hunt, a platform for chefs to showcase their skills and experts to trade knowledge.”

New ScotHot features for 2017 include Staff Canteen Live, which will showcase the culinary skills of some of the UK’s leading chefs, and Liquid Academy Live, which will host a number of inspiring speakers demonstrating the excitement and innovation that’s currently surging through Scotland’s drinks industry.

 

Expert speakers from hospitality and tourism businesses

 

The Scottish Culinary Championships, sponsored by Compass Group, is back for its 32nd year, while the Spotlight Stage, sponsored by Scottish Tourism Alliance, will feature expert speakers from hospitality and tourism businesses, who will share their experiences and insight on some of the hot topics of the moment.

“This important trade show is a great way to kick off the annual tourism week programme,” said Marc Crothall, Chief Executive of Scottish Tourism Alliance.
