Relax – It’s Time For Spa In The City!
Edinburgh’s leading free beauty event, Spa in the City, is back – and it’s bigger than ever!
The city’s top beauty and spa experts are uniting to prepare us all for summer, offering over 1,000 free treatments, tutorials and make-overs across two packed weekends at St Andrew Square (23-24 May) and the West End (30-31 May).
The latest on-trend treatments and advice
Themed ‘Holiday Countdown’, Spa in the City 2015 will see St Andrew Square and Edinburgh’s West End (outside The Huxley), transformed into tranquil urban spas. Supported by a wide range of retailers including Jenners, John Lewis, Boots, Harvey Nichols, Crabtree & Evelyn and Superdrug, experts representing over 25 brands will be on hand to offer the latest on-trend treatments and advice.
Free, bookable Spa in the City appointments to watch out for include a Sassoon Salon blow and style service, a Decleor’s mini-facial and No7’s Match Made foundation and lips service. Or, for those with a more hands-on approach, Lush Spa and Neal’s Yard Remedies will let shoppers make their own organic products.
Free-to-attend sessions
Packed with informative demonstrations and workshops, the brand new drop-in Beauty Heroes marquee at St Andrew Square will be the perfect place to await appointments. Hosted by some of Edinburgh’s leading beauty experts, these free-to-attend sessions will cover everything from the art of make-up contouring to botox and filler demos and easy beach up dos.
800 coveted Spa in the City goodie bags will be distributed to the first attendees across both weekends at each location and event attendees will receive an offer-book full of exclusive discounts from participating retailers and surrounding restaurants and bars – watch out for Element cocktail masterclasses and live music from LUNIR at St Andrew Square and delicious food and drink on offer from The Huxley at the West End event.
‘The exemplary quality of the city centre’s beauty offering’
“Spa in the City is back for its eighth year and the variety of free treatments available this year surpasses anything we’ve been able to offer before,,” said Roddy Smith, Chief Executive, Essential Edinburgh.
“From world class hotel facilities at places like Balance Spa & Beauty at The Roxburghe, to high street favourites like House of Frasers and local independents such as the Sleeping Beauty Salon, Spa in the
City is an opportunity to showcase the exemplary quality of the city centre’s beauty offering.”
