Styling The Nation
The National Museum of Scotland is running a free “sensationally stylish” weekend on Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13. The Art and Design galleries will host workshops and maker demonstrations as well as performance art and talks.
Memorial Ground
Choirs across Scotland are adapting the special choral work Memorial Ground for this Remembrance weekend. 14-18 Now’s key community project will be performed in a variety of ways across the country – click here for the full venue list.
RGI Annual Show
Over 300 artists are being featured in a 16-day exhibition at The Mitchell, Glasgow, with free entry for visitors. Over 400 original works of art are on display from Saturday, November 12, and available to purchase from the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts.
Inverness Film Fest
The 14th Eden Court Film Festival began on Wed, November 9, and continues until Sunday, November 13, showing a diverse range of beloved films and new Scottish premiers. Film workshops are also on offer – find the full brochure here.
Alba Ballet
Following a sell-out perfomance of The Nutcracker, Alba Ballet will be taking Cinderella to the ball from November 11. Catch it at Greenock on November 11 &12, and Largs on November 19.
Antique Fair
The ever-popular Galloway Antiques Fair makes a welcome return to Scone Palace from November 11 – 13. Browse furniture, porcelain, glass, jewellery, sculpture, oriental rugs and carpets and much more from early Georgian through to the 1930s.
House Music Festival
Head to Kinlochard over November 11 and 12 for two nights of “proper music” as we like to call it on bagpipe, accordion, strings, fiddle, vocals and flute, fusing traditional and contemporary Scottish styles.
Glasgow Loves Christmas
It’s the most wonderful time… the Christmas Market in St Enoch Square has opened once again in Glasgow for quality and quirky gifts, and let’s not forget the food stalls and popular Bavarian Bar!
