Glasgow International Piping Festival needs no introduction. This year its runs August 8 -15, and highlights include the Red Hot Chili Pipers, and a Summer Session in George Square with the Glasgow Gin Club.

North Berwick’s first ever Fabulous Food Festival launches on Monday, August 8, for a week of culinary delights: top chefs, Ready, Steady Cook competitions, a cake-off and an array of local produce to sample.
Hummingbird
This dark, funny show is inspired by the Lonely Hearts Killers whose story gripped post-war America. Expect acrobatics in the world premiere of this tale of love and murder at the Edinburgh Fringe this week.
Last Chance For Live
The Aboyne and Deeside festival comes to a close this week, but it certainly goes out with a bang on Friday, August 5, with Breabach performing their thrilling and unique brand of contemporary folk music.
Ayr Flower Show
Does what it says on the tin – and more! The Flower Show is now a three-day family festival in which food and fun complement flowers and fruit. Catch it from Friday, August 5, – Sunday, August 7.
Kellie Castle Concert
It has a certain ring to it, doesn’t it? The Castle Concert Series provide music in truly unique settings, and this concert is no exception. Head to Pitenweem on August 10, for a stunning classical performance.
Foodies Fest!
