What is the plot of Glenrothan the film?
Glenrothan centres on two estranged brothers, Sandy and Donal. Following a heated confrontation with their father on the day of their mother’s funeral, Donal departs their Highland home for the United States. After 35 years abroad, Donal reluctantly returns to the Scotland to reconcile with Sandy. Facing the potential sale of their family’s whisky distillery should Donal decline to take over the business, the brothers must confront their shared past and the true reasons behind Donal’s departure.

Principal photography commenced in August 2024, with Scotland’s picturesque landscapes providing the backdrop. Key locations included:
