A-Z of Secret Glasgow: The Meat Bar
As the name suggests, The Meat Bar in Glasgow city centre takes its steak very seriously.
A specials board shows the butcher’s cuts of the day with the meat sourced from named, top quality Scottish suppliers.

The burgers come in a home-made brioche bun and are teetering towers of tastiness and the bespoke pit oven is kept busy slow cooking ribs and pulled pork.
The restaurant situated on West Regent Street, has become a firm favourite on the local foodie scene.
The old-school private booth seating and slick friendly service definitely help, but it’s the famous carnivorous cocktails that are the real talking point. The Meatojito contains pork-infused rum with pineapple, brown sugar, mint and a caramelised pork rib accompaniment! Other beefy booze includes the T-Bone Treacle and the Jerky Julep.
