Festivals in Scotland are back…
After two years of mostly online-only festivals, now more and more in-person events are opening up.
There’s so much to choose from! So if you’ve been craving some live music and can’t wait to get back in front of the stage again, enjoy a rundown of all the latest events and festival news.

Glasgow Riverside Festival
June 2-4
Glasgow
Enjoy a bank holiday weekend of music in Glasgow. Gates open at 2pm each day and curfew for entry is 6pm each day. This year’s headliners are the fantastic Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox, and Roisin Murphy.

Arran Folk Festival
June 10-12
Arran
The first ever Folk Festival on the Isle of Arran was almost 50 years ago to encourage visitors to the island and in 2019 the festival reinvented itself! This year enjoy free-to-attend afternoon sessions with Uncle Keith at the Douglas Hotel, evening concerts in Brodick Village Hall and late-night sessions in the Brodick Bar.
Eden Festival

Raehills Meadows, near Moffat
Energetic, vibrant and independent festival with various main stages including The Lost Disco, The Boardwalk Stage, Ghilli Du Dance Emporium all showcasing fresh music and electrifying performances. Plus, a drive-in cinema and other attractions to keep the kids amused.

Kirkcudbright Jazz Festival
June 9-12
Kirkcudbright
This annual jazz festival will enjoy its 23rd year in its beautiful harbourside town setting. The event is a wonderful celebration of New Orleans, Dixieland and Swing Jazz in Southwest Scotland. There will also be a Jazz Church Service and Brolly Parade.

TRSMT Festival, July 8-10
Return of popular music festival at Glasgow Green. Headlined this year by Paolo Nutini, The Strokes and Lewis Capaldi. Other acts include Nile Rodgers and Chic, Jimmy Eat World.

Edinburgh International Jazz & Blues Festival, July 15 – 24
Jazz and blues musicians from across the world head to this festival which has been running since 1978, to perform in venues across the city. Jools Holland opens the festival on the 15th.

Hebridean Celtic Festival, July 13 – 16
Family-friendly festival on Lewis, with music, ceilidhs, workshops and more. Artists performing include Tide Lines, Skipinnish, Texas and Seasick Steve.
Rewind, July 22- 24
Back in the grounds of Scone Palace, Perth, this weekend festival is a celebration of the 80s. Headliners include Billy Ocean and Wet Wet Wet.
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, July 28-31
Highland music festival near Beauly, Inverness-shire. Headliners Van Morrison and Emeli Sande.
