Superstar Line Up for Tonight… A West End Christmas
Two West End leading ladies are to join the cast of ‘Tonight… A West End Christmas’, which will be wowing the audience at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on Sunday, November 22.
In association with Broadway Productions, Tonight Productions are delighted to announce that musical theatre stars Ruthie Henshall (Miss Saigon, Follies, Chicago, Billy Elliot) and Louise Dearman (Wicked, Evita, Jekyll & Hyde) will jet into Edinburgh for one night only to appear in this glitzy musical extravaganza.
‘Wonderful songs in a wonderful city’
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be returning to Edinburgh,” said Ruthie Henshall. “Wonderful songs in a wonderful city, which just happens to be one of my favourite places. To be working with some great talent – and great mates, too – is just a joy. I cannot wait. This will be a fantastic night. “
The show will feature classic show tunes from Broadway as well as West End showstoppers – and the audience can also expect a few festive gems to kick-start the Christmas celebrations!
Edinburgh-based producer, Peter Ferguson has been entertaining audiences since 2012 with a stream of variety concerts across Scotland and continues to attract the cream of show business to his lavish productions.
‘Some of the finest stars of London’s West End’
“I’m delighted to welcome back to Edinburgh some of the finest stars of London’s West End,” said Peter, who added that former S Club 7 heartthrob Jon Lee, who recently took the West End by storm with his appearances in Jersey Boys and Les Miserables, will also joining the stellar cast.
“The city is blessed with such a strong musical theatre audience and it’s always a thrill to produce one-off concerts with a real London vibe and the chance to get up close and personal with these amazing performers.”
Tickets are on sale now from the venue or www.tonightproductions.co.uk (tickets £38.50, £28.60 & £23.10 , £1 transaction fee applies to all online bookings).
SEARCH FOR ANNIE
The search is on for the lucky youngster, who must be able to sing and tap dance, who will share the stage with West End stars Ruthie Henshall and Louise Dearman at Tonight… A West End Christmas.
The show’s producers are hoping to find a young girl – aged between 8 and 14 – to perform ‘You’re Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile’ from the hit show, ‘Annie’. “We really want to tap into the talent out there and if we can showcase a budding young performer, then we should,” said Peter Ferguson of Tonight Productions.
