A Magical Evening
The Edinburgh International Magic Festival begins on Friday, June 26 with 100+ shows, events, bars, doughnuts, exhibitions and a magic shop over 8 days. To get a flavour of what to expect, pop over to their launch party on the Friday for show tasters, music and even wizards. Tickets here.
First Proof
A great new exhibition takes place is opening in Dundee from Duncan of Jordanstone graduates. For this year’s Print Festival Scotland, 21 artists have been picked to represent the diversity of print making, and their work will be showcased in the Cooper Gallery from Monday, June 29 – with a special preview on Saturday 27.
Cream o’ The Croft
A brand-new biking festival is being held near Comrie this weekend with an action-packed programme over the weekend for bike riders, spectators and enthusiasts alike! Local food & drink stalls, music and a giant waterslide to give non-bikers something to do, too, and ScotsMag readers get £20 off tickets!
Community Market
The first of the larger Queensferry Community Markets is being held on Sunday, June 28 with around 30 stalls of art and craft activities, local produce, jewellery, textiles, pottery, glassware street food artisan and much more. As part of the Forth Bridges Festival 2015, there’s sure to be a great atmosphere.
Vintage Bus Trips
To mark the end of the West End Festival, the Riverside Transport Museum in Glasgow are putting on free trips on their vintage buses – some from 1950. Get an alternative view of the West End on the tour from the museum, through the West End, Hyndland, Victoria Park, Anniesland and Botanic Gardens.
Birthday Tour

A Taste Of Angus
To celebrate 20 years of the National Cycle Route 1, which runs through East Haven, there’s a Cycle and Big Picnic event on Saturday, June 27 from 10 am. The British Golf Museum had its grand reopening this week, so before St Andrews gets busy with The Open, pop in to check out the new galleries and the rooftop café with amazing local food and panoramic views over the Old Course and the West Sands.
Doon The Water
Celebrate Waverley’s Ruby Anniversary in style on a 70s-themed showboat on Friday, June 26. Sailing from Glasgow Science Centre at 7.30pm, you can see the sun set over Dunoon from the onboard lounge and restaurants, with an accompaniment of live music.

The Scottish Alternative Music Awards are being held on Friday, June 26, and tickets are still available at only £10. With guest appearances from the very best on the alternative indie scene and a complimentary drink on arrival, this looks to be the event of the season!
