Solo Exhibition
Henry Jabbour, former medical researcher at Edinburgh University, realised his dream of becoming a painter in 2010 and now opens his first solo exhibition in Edinburgh’s Union Gallery on Saturday, March, with gallery mascot, Dennis the dog!

Henry left a successful career as a research scientist to train as a painter is to have his first solo exhibition, opening in Edinburgh’s Union Gallery on Saturday (4th March 2017, and until 1st April 2017). Henry Jabbour, who worked for nearly 20 years based at the Medical School at Edinburgh University, left his job in medical research to train as an artist. Henry, who was born in Lebanon, worked for the Medical Research Council in Edinburgh before quitting to paint full-time in 2010. He said: “For many years, I was working as a scientist and painting every moment I could in my spare time. Bit by bit, my passion for art outgrew my passion for the science.
