Scotstyle Top Ten: Finalist Six
Princes Square, Glasgow
The award-winning 1986 retail development turned the 1840s centre into, as writer Bill Bryson said, “one of the most intelligent pieces of urban renewal”.
Princes Square oozes class, from the ornate banisters to the glass domed and vaulted roof.
The original frontage has been left, so that only those who know where they’re going will find this shoppers’ paradise hidden in plain sight on Buchanan Street.
