Behind The Scenes At Scottish Ballet’s Nutcracker
The cover of the December issue of The Scots Magazine features a stunning image of Scottish Ballet stars Sophie Martin and Chris Harrison – and inside, there’s a fabulous feature by Garry Fraser about the principals and Scottish Ballet’s Winter 2014 production, The Nutcracker.
The Scots Magazine team was invited along to Scottish Ballet’s Glasgow headquarters to photograph Sophie and Chris as they rehearsed for their starring roles in The Nutcracker. The gallery above features a few of the behind the scenes images our top photographer, Martin, snapped that day…

The Nutcracker
- Scottish Ballet’s The Nutcracker, which revisits the iconic 1970s’ production created by the company’s founder Peter Darrell and features the famous Tchaikovsky score, is touring Scotland this winter.
- The tour starts at Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre, where The Nutcracker will be performed from December 13 until January 3.
