A-Z of Secret Glasgow: EatFilm @ Sloans Bar
Pub then movie? How about pub AND movie?
EatFilm is a fun weekly film screening at Glasgow’s oldest bar. The city centre watering hole is something of an institution, having first opened its doors back in 1797 as a coffee shop.
Now, every Tuesday evening, their decadent Grand Ballroom, complete with gilt cornicing and ornate stained glass windows, turns into a movie theatre.
NEXT: How to track down the top culinary hotspots in Glasgow.
It’s a great choice for a quirky date night in Glasgow.
You can cosy up in the back row and enjoy a great movie and great grub for only £13.95 for two! Dinner choices are movie theatre mainstays such as hot dogs, nachos and mac & cheese. Movies range from the cult and the classic, to childhood favourites. You can even organise Private Eat Film parties for groups of ten or more.
Eatfilm events are every Tuesday evening at 6.30pm. Must be over 18.
Address: Sloans, 62 Argyll Arcade, 108 Argyle Street, G2 8BG.
